During these 90 minutes, you’ll have the chance to get to know me, to get a sense of my personality, energy level, and demeanor, and to get comfortable with me. You’ll also learn about my three roles as the EOS implementor. I will be your guide on this journey, serving as your:

  • Teacher: I’ll communicate a set of concepts that will be new to you. You’ll learn them at a high level and dig down into the details as well.
  • Facilitator: I’ll be working with your leadership team to extract specific information that we’ll then populate into the tools we show you. I’ll also keep the pace moving at the right speed so that we get through what we need to get through but we don’t go so fast that we’re overly superficial in our thinking and application of the tools.
  • Coach: Just as important, I’ll be drawing on my reservoir of knowledge and experience to coach you through the process. When I see a decision that may not be the best, or when the group is stuck, I’ll take the lead and play a more active role in helping the group move through it.

It’s vital that you feel there is a fit between us. You are letting me into your inner circle, and I will be moderating and facilitating many controversial and vulnerable conversations. To succeed at my job, I need to be seen as credible, trustworthy and in tune with the emotional state of the group.

 

#3. Get buy-in from your leadership team.

One of the big reasons EOS is so successful is that we work with leadership teams, not just the CEO. Having a strong leadership team is paramount because it’s the only way you’ll be able to achieve what you want to achieve with your business. There’s no way any CEO can do it all on their own.
